About Advanced IMS

Advanced IMS Inc. is a software vendor company committed to the development of highly scalable, high performance, carrier grade software products in the area of next generation telecommunications and networking. Advanced IMS aims to provide low cost and highly portable, platform independent products. Advanced IMS is trying to establish its niche in the upcoming telecommunications standard--IP Multimedia Subsystem, popularly known as IMS.

Advanced IMS products are targeted for:

• Client-server software developers in telecommunications domain looking for proven methods to reduce the time to market.
• Solution provider, system integrator and vendor companies looking to incorporate highly quality software in their solutions.
• Small, medium and large enterprise customers looking for efficient, cost effective solutions and products for their telecommunications requirements.

The founding team of Advanced IMS holds years of experience in the field of telecommunications, OSS/BSS and software development.

Three major products have been recently launched by Advanced IMS. These are:

• AMPS - an open source framework for development of application level protocol servers. AMPS is carefully tailored for developing high performance applications. It is highly portable and can reduce the server development time by an order of magnitude.
  
  
• 4GSIP - an implementation of RFC 3261 compliant SIP stack that includes parsing, message creation and transactions written in ANSI C on top of AMPS library. The stack has been designed such that it can be enhanced to an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) compliant stack in a short time.
  
  
• FlashSIP - a high performance, fully RFC 3261 compliant implementation of SIP registrar and proxy server on AMPS framework. We plan to make FlashSIP the basis of our IMS call control and Application servers in near future.

Advanced IMS plans to build several servers as well as clients on top of AMPS library for the evolving next generation IMS and SIP networks. Some of the products that are in the planning include:

• A highly scalable implementation of DIAMETER base protocol server with DIAMETER application for interoperability with RADIUS.
• DIAMETER based IMS Home Subscriber Server (HSS) for AAA and also interface to subscriber provisioning and service profile database.
• DIAMETER based IMS off-line and on-line charging systems with clean interfaces to OSS/BSS back-end.
• A fully IMS compliant SIP user agent built on top of AMPS library, enhanced with Presence, Instant Messaging (IM), Push-to-Talk (PTT) and conferencing features to name a few. The client will be fully portable and embeddable on several platforms including desktop machines, smart-phones, mobiles and PDAs. We plan to port AMPS on several mobile operating systems e.g. Embedded Linux, Symbian, Windows CE, Bru to name a few.
• SIP based application server(s) providing Centrex services for hosted PBX environments.
• SIP based enterprise level IP PBX system running on Windows for small, medium and large offices.
• IMS call control servers (P/I/S-CSCF) with interfaces to billing and charging functions, HSS and application services.
• SIP based IMS Application servers including Presence, IM, PTT and conferencing.
• IMS compliant media servers including Media relays, Media mixers and trans-coders, announcement servers and video on demand servers.
